Jazz In The City stars two time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Ledisi supporting her new CD release (August 18, 2009) "Turn Me Loose" on the Verve Music Group label. 

 

Ledisi is coming off her critically acclaimed 2007 CD "Lost and Found" which provided her with two 2008 Grammy nominations including "Best New Artist".  The songstress was born in New Orleans but, raised and musically groomed in Bay Area where her brilliant/energetic live performances had a almost cult following (Her Bay Area fans are called Ledheads).  In addition, since the Grammy nomination, she has toured internationally including her 2008 sold-out performances in Seattle that required additional shows by popular demand!

 

Summer Finale 3 also stars saxophonist Euge Groove and his chart topping album "Born 2 Groove" which has provided several number one releases.  Euge's performances are sultry but full of energy and during the concert, the audience is engaged while standing and dancing; however, Euge's sensibility definitely reflects when he plays his powerful ballads that illustrate Euge's style and recognizable voice on the sax.
